Evolving NFTs: Guide for Collectors

The Evolving NFTs you collect are living digital assets. Their story unfolds over time based on the rules set by their original creator.

Viewing Evolutions​

On the detail page of any Evolving NFT, you will find a dedicated "Evolutions" section. This area shows:

  • Completed Evolutions: A history of the changes the NFT has already undergone.
  • Pending Evolutions: A preview of what the NFT can become in the future and the conditions required for the change.

Triggering an Evolution​

The evolution of an NFT does not happen automatically. It must be initiated by a transaction on the Sui network.

If you are viewing an NFT and notice that one of its evolution conditions has been met (e.g., the trigger date has passed), an "Evolve Now" button will appear.

Anyone—not just the owner—can click this button and sign the transaction to trigger the evolution. This is a community-driven action that helps keep the state of all assets on TokenTrip up-to-date. Once the transaction is confirmed, the NFT's metadata will be permanently updated for everyone to see.
